2 Chainz has been acquitted of several drug related charges following his arrest back in February when his crew was stopped for speeding. 2 Chainz was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia, but a court has found him not guilty on both charges.
The rapper and six others was headed to a performance at the University of Maryland on U.S. Route 50 when police pulled over their Ford E-350 for speeding, according to AllHipHop.com. Police noticed the smell of marijuana and searched the vehicle where they discovered a grinder inside a bag.
2 Chainz acknowledged that he was the owner of the bag but witnesses confirmed that when he discovered the grinder he asked who owned it, which may have been enough for Judge William H. Adkins III to find him not guilty.
2 Chainz hit Twitter with news of his legal victory quoting his track ‘Spend It.’ “Boxing gloves I beat the trial,” wrote 2 Chainz.
