Method Man has become the first Wu-Tang Clan rapper to confirm that the group has something in store for their 20th Anniversary. Method Man informed the audience at the Key Club in Hollywood that the group will be putting out a full-length album.
Method Man noted the group’s longevity and expressed how much of an accomplishment it was for Wu-Tang to stick together for so long. “This year will be [the Wu-Tang Clan's] twentieth anniversary. How many brothas kept a job for twenty years? The same job. That’s the shit. We owe that shit to each and every fan that ever supported our music, and that’s real talk,” Method Man told the audience in a video picked up by HHH.
According to Method Man, the album is already in the works and could include something unique. “On that note, man, we got an anniversary coming up. The Wu-Tang anniversary album coming up, we working on that now. Some nice treats on there,” said Method Man.
The rapper added that the project should be finished and delivered to the public before the end of the year. “This year. This fucking yea,” Method Man said.
