Lil’ Flip has entered a not guilty plea on charges of illegal possession of a firearm, speeding and possession of marijuana. The Houston rapper was pulled over in Louisiana on December 26th when police allegedly caught him doing 86 mph in a 75 mph zone.
Flip has already made it known that he would be fighting the charges and claimed that the rifle officers discovered in his vehicle was legal, and added that officers had mistaken his Black & Mild cigars for weed, according to TMZ.
According to Flip, he’s permitted to carry the AR-15 rifle under his concealed handgun license issued by Texas which is he claims is valid in 22 states, including Louisiana.
The rapper’s pre-trial date has been set for April, and the rapper has not commented on the case after entering his plea.
