Odd Future’s own Frank Ocean confirms that he in fact already “knee deep” into his highly anticipated sophomore album.
Frank Ocean has already released back to back successful projects over the past few years, and it looks like it’s back in the studio working on another one.
The standout Odd Future member made quite a splash on the music scene when he released his ‘Nostalgia Ultra’ mixtape, and earned critical acclaim from music fans everywhere when he dropped his studio debut album ‘Channel Orange’ during 2012.
Now the singer tells Billboard that he is back in the studio prepping his sophomore album. While on the red carpet at the Grammys last night, Frank Ocean revealed that he is “knee-deep in the next record.”
Ocean also went on to state that he is no hurry with the untitled project, stating just the opposite. ” [I’m] just taking my time with it.”
Ocean recently announced that he would be writing a fictional book during his two year getaway to a remote location. We imagine that we won’t be seeing another Frank Ocean project during 2013, but we could get some new music videos for his tracks from ‘Channel Orange.’
