According to Master P, he almost managed to ink a deal with Tupac which would have brought the rapper onto No Limits, but just missed his chance. Master P added that No Limits at the deal would have gone down just before No Limits exploded and before the label moved to New Orleans.
Master P added that the deal just barely failed to materialize, and indicated that he regrets not being able to grab the legendary rapper. “[Tupac] was liking the movement of what we was doing but we wasn’t fully there yet. … That was one little piece that I was looking at like, ‘You know what? This could be alright,” said Master P.
Master P also explained that the possibility shouldn’t come as much of a surprise given the popularity of No Limits in the 1990s. “Everybody was interested in No Limit. I don’t think there was one person in the music business that wasn’t interested in being a part of that movement,” said P.
