Former Cash Money rapper Stone has passed away and members of the label’s crew hit Twitter to remember the artist. The New Orleans rapper was one-half of the D-Boyz along with fellow rapper, and also a former Cash Money artist, Lac.
Juvenile hit Twitter to express his grief and explain that he maintained a strong association with Stone writing, “Just lost one of my best friends today Remember to tell your people you love while they still here Rest In peace Alvin Stone My big homie.”
Lil Wayne also commemorated Stone with a tweet indicating his respect for the artists. “RIP Killa Stone. Real ni55a forever! Another UPTOWN legend,” wrote Wayne.
Both Stone and Lac left Cash Money in 2003 and subsequently formed the D-Boyz with a deal under 404 Music, Inc. which lead to their album ‘Life of a D-Boy’ in 2009.
