Timbaland has filed a massive lawsuit against his insurance company claiming that he hasn’t been reimbursed for a $1.8 million watch that went missing. The producer is looking to recover the full value of the timepiece as well as interest going back to 2010 and legal fees.
Timbaland took out a $50,000 policy with the American Home Assurance Company back in May 2010, and several months later filed a claim when his Jacob & Co. 18K white gold watch loaded with diamonds went missing, according to TMZ.
The company refused to payout on the claim, even after Timbaland testified under oath that the watch was nowhere to be found, and the producer reported the watch stolen to the L.A. County Sherriff’s Department.
Timbaland now says the watch was likely misplaced by his two-year-old daughter claiming that she likely thought it was toy and discarded it after she became bored with the gem encrusted timepiece.
