LL Cool J opened up to Oprah about the physical abuse he suffered as a child at the hands of a friend of his mother’s, and explained that he was beaten for doing virtually anything. The rapper detailed some of the abuse he took, and revealed some of the most unpleasant punishments he suffered.
LL Cool J explained that the abuse was limited to violence, and offered some details on the sort of punishment he endured. “It wasn’t sexual. It was just beatings, take all of your clothes off … Kicked out in the snow, stay outside,” said LL Cool J.
The rapper added that his torturer employed various improvisational tools during the beatings. “Beat with vacuum cleaner pipes. Strip naked, put your hands on the bunk bed,” said LL Cool J.
LL Cool J also spoke about his house getting broken into last year, and explained he was fortunate to be home during the incident. “It was one of those grateful, thank God, gratitude moments that I was able to handle the situation, subdue this guy, wait for the police, get him out of here and everybody was safe. If I wasn’t here, a house full of women, there’s no telling what could have happened. He had bad intentions,” said LL Cool J.
