When the Live Love A$AP mixtape first dropped, and introduced the world to the A$AP Rocky experience, a lot of people probably would have thought it would be crazy to say the kid was a pretty strong lyricist. Not that the tape wasn’t one of the best to come out that year, but it was driven more by Rocky’s gift of tripped out flow, and its spaced out – but potent – production.
But a little less than year and a half later, and after sitting down his commercial debut album Long Live A$AP, the words “deceptively deep” wouldn’t be a terrible way to describe him. While he definitely has his less than serious (and less impressive) moments behind the mic, he can definitely make a point or two, and come with some clever word play, when he wants to.
On top of Rocky’s strong effort, we also got some great feature verses on the Long Live A$AP album as well. Combined, with Flacko’s own impressive work, it definitely set a stage for plenty of nice lines…and these are the 10 best sets of them.
