Shady Records rapper Yelawolf announces a February release date for his new mixtape dubbed ‘Trunk Muzik Returns.’
After recently teaming up with Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker for the release of their joint project ‘Psycho White,’ the Alabama emcee announces that he will be returning the rap scene with a solo mixtape dubbed ‘Trunk Muzik Returns’ at the top of the new year.
“Trunk Muzik Returns drops February 2013,” Yelawolf tweeted yesterday.
The southern spitter earned himself critical acclaim with the release of his Shady Records debut album ‘Radioactive,’ and has been in the studio hard at work on his follow up album ‘Love Story.’
“The title to my next album is Love Story. We’ll be recording in June, part of July in Nashville, Tennessee,” he said. “Just going to lock it down and bring my family back down together. I just got a lot boiling up. A lot of experiences the last couple of years. I just want to make a classic. The classic is the standard. I’m trying to make music that will last a lifetime.”
Yelawolf is also working on a much buzzed about collaboration project with Big K.R.I.T. called ‘Country Cousins,’ but there is no release date on that particular project at this point in time.
