It looks like Alicia Keys’ latest album ‘Girl On Fire’ will be debuting atop the charts as the first week projections begin to roll in.
Alicia Keys definitely picked a great week to drop her fifth studio album ‘Girl On Fire,’ as the project is currently projected to debut at number one on the charts.
The album is projected to sell in the ball park of 150,000 to 175,000 copies in its first week. Although these numbers are not weak by today’s industry standards, they definitely might not have been good enough to grab the number one spot had there been some other solid contending debuts this week.
To put things in perspective, Alicia Keys’ last album ‘The Element Of Freedom’ managed to sell 417,000 copies in its first week back in 2009, and ended up being Keys’ only project to not hit the number one spot during its opening week.
