Lil Wayne has made music history, tying Elvis Presley for the most Billboard 100 hit records from a single artist.
It’s a well known fact that Lil Wayne has been involved in more hit singles than just about anyone, and now it’s going down in the record books. The Young Money Cash Money head honcho has just joined Elvis Presley atop the Billboard Hot 100 singles charts.
Both Elvis Presley and Lil Wayne have provided their vocals on 108 songs that have appeared on the chart, more than any other musician of all time. There is a big difference however, and that’s the fact that Wayne has been on the primary artist on only 42 of his songs, while the other 66 have only been features while Elvis has been the main artist on every single one of his 108 singles.
Either way, it’s an amazing feat for Wayne, and it’s only a matter of time before he pulls out ahead as the leading artist. The two rank above James Brown in third with 91, Ray Charles with 74, and Elton John with 67 Hot 100 singles.
