Chief Keef took to Twitter over the weekend expressing that Kanye West did not help his career, proclaiming “Kanye West ain’t do shit for me.”
If someone were to have asked you in 2011 who Chief Keef was, most of us outside of the Chicago area would have simply replied, “Who?” Things are certainly a different story though in 2012, as Chief Keef is one of the most talked about rappers in the underground scene.
It would be almost impossible to argue that Kanye West isn’t largely responsible for Chief Keef’s success. Kanye West jumped on Chief Keef’s ‘I Don’t Like’ single along with some of his friends, names like Big Sean, Jadakiss, and Pusha T, making the song a certified smash hit.
Well apparently Chief Keef doesn’t feel the same way, claiming that Kanye West didn’t do anything for his career.
” @kanyewest ain’t do shit for me Hoppin on da song wasn’t enuff I made myself hot #300 all by myself,” the young rapper tweeted earlier this weekend.
The tweet was later deleted, so we imagine Chief Keef either had a lapse in judgement or someone advised him to remove the tweet.
