Meek Mill expresses that he is looking to make his upcoming ‘Dreams & Nightmares’ a classic album.
The Maybach Music Group camp has been making a lot of noise on the music scene over the past few years, and it looks like things are only getting better for the crew. Rick Ross’ ‘God Forgives, I Don’t’ album just earned the number 1 spot on the sales charts, and now Meek Mill is up next.
His MMG debut album ‘Dreams & Nightmares’ was set to release in just a few weeks on August 28th, but he recently announced that the album would be released sometime in the fall. During a recent interview with Wild 94.9, Meek Mill discussed the upcoming project letting fans know he is taking his time in order to create a classic album.
“A lot of people been shying away from the real rapping and hip-hop. I’m really representing,” Meek told Nessa. “When I come out with my album, I want to have a classic album, an Illmatic, a Hard Knock Life Jay-Z, Get Rich or Die Tryin’ type, a hip-hop album.”
It’s always nice to hear who the hottest rappers in the game look up to, and when asked who his top 5 favorite rappers were, Meek Mill said, “In no particular order, Biggie, Tupac, Jay-Z, Nas, and Lil Wayne.”
Although there is no official release date to Mill’s project as of right now, the Philadelphia based rapper states that he will be announcing an official release date later this week.
