After dropping a line referencing T.J. Maxx, the retailer reached out to Jay-Z letting him know a bit of background on the company.
Rick Ross certainly took the hip hop community by storm yesterday when he released his much anticipated Dr. Dre and Jay-Z assisted “3 Kings” single.
The Jake-One produced track made plenty of noise through the blogosphere, and even the folks at T.J. Maxx were touched by the single.
Jay-Z referenced T.J. Maxx in the line “Used to shop at T.J. Maxx back in ’83, I don’t even know if it was open then…”
T.J. Maxx saw this plug as the perfect opportunity to let fans of Jay-Z know, as well as their fans, that the store has been in business since the late 70s.
“Hey @S_C_, thanks for the shout out! We opened in March 1977 and have been keeping stylish men in designer labels for less ever since.” T.J. Maxx expressed.
